Roof Consulting

I consult with commercial building owners by inspecting their roofs and providing a detailed roof inspection report including core samples and photos of deficiencies. I provide a recommendation to repair or replace their roof. I also evaluate potential roofing contractor proposals and help choose the most qualified, cost effective solution. After a contractor is selected, I provide evaluations and inspections of the work occurring in the field.

I also consult with roofing companies to develop a customized detail library of standard flashing details (eave, ridge, rake, hip, valley, etc) for the specific types of roofing systems they install. My clients use these drawings to submit to property owners, general contractors and others to explain exactly how they plan to flash each detail of the roof. My clients also use these standard details to help instruct new superintendents and installers on how their company handles each flashing situation. I reuse these details and design unique details as needed to create a shop drawing package for new projects. This package combines the client's details with manufacturer details modified to match the exact specifications of the project. These drawings and details help build my client's reputation as a Commercial Roofing Expert in their area.
